Ms. Lugo’s Pre-K4 class has started their 🌱 Seed Study and the students are loving it! During free choice, they’ve been getting creative by using sunflower seeds to make flower art while strengthening their fine motor skills. They’re also using their imagination in dramatic play and exploring outside to learn more about seeds and how plants grow. 🌻

Today in Ms. Molina’s kindergarten class, students explored the different parts of a plant. They stepped outside to observe real plants up close, identifying the stem, leaves, flowers, roots, and seeds. Using what they discovered, students created detailed drawings and carefully labeled each part with accuracy and pride. 🌱

Students in Mrs.Gonzalez’s second grade class learned about area by using square tiles to find the area of a rectangle. They carefully covered each rectangle with tiles, making sure there were no gaps or overlaps. Then, they counted the total number of square tiles to determine the area in square units. This hands-on activity helps students understand that area is the amount of space inside a shape. Using square tiles allows them to see and physically count the square units.
