4th grade students in Mrs. Martinez’s science class followed a structured procedure to determine which materials are denser than water. They placed different objects with varying physical properties into a shallow tray of water to see which ones sank and which ones floated. Then they recorded their observations on the Hands-On Activity and concluded the relative density of the objects.
